Yoyito Cafe Restaurant sits firmly in the heart of Hialeah as a straightforward Cuban restaurant where locals come for familiar, home-style Caribbean flavors rather than elaborate dining. It’s a spot defined by practicality—a place where you can count on classic Cuban dishes like Arroz Con Pollo a La Chorrera, Fried Green Plantains, and Cuban Coffee to satisfy cravings without fuss.

The atmosphere leans towards casual and functional, with a vibe that feels like a regularly frequented neighborhood joint. The interior offers a comfortable, no-frills setting where families, longtime residents, and workers might drop in for a solid meal or a midday coffee break. It’s not polished or trendy, but that down-to-earth quality is part of how it fits into the daily rhythms of the community.

Breakfast here can be a mixed bag: while traditional Cuban breakfast staples are on the menu—think eggs with various meats, tostadas, and the indispensable café con leche—availability can fluctuate, reflecting the realities of a busy local spot rather than a tourist-focused restaurant. This occasionally means some requested items might be out, but the food preparation itself remains consistent.

This spot is best for anyone who values direct, uncomplicated Cuban dishes at reasonable prices. It’s not designed to impress with ambiance or service style, but rather serves as a familiar stop for hearty portions and comfort food. Weekday mornings or early afternoons are solid times for a relatively quiet meal, while weekends tend to draw a livelier crowd enjoying the familiar flavors they grew up with.

Overall, Yoyito Cafe Restaurant resonates most with people who appreciate practical, no-nonsense Cuban cooking in a setting that echoes the neighborhood’s everyday life rather than a polished dining experience. Visitors who come seeking authentic, straightforward Caribbean fare without pretense will find this place comfortably familiar.

Not only the attention, but the choices to eat the food you love. It's amazing. I recommend to everyone to visit the restaurant, everyone will enjoy very much. 5

Yoyito Cafe is not even close to what it was 5 or 10 years ago. Smiles on the staff have faded away and a sense of concern and superiority is very visible. BREAKFAST SUNDAY: Basic breakfast (Two eggs, ham/sausage/bacon/chorizo, tostada, fries, café con leche) could not be prepared as per my request since they did not have bacon. On the other hand, the food was well prepared. Ambience was nice, Christian/Gospel music was on the speakers. Lights were dimmed which made is nice. I still will have to come back for lunch or dinner and will update the review.

I know this is not a Five Star place but I love this place so much I have to give it to them. It is just good Cuban food and very reasonable prices. Best hole on the wall restaurant in the area.
